The name Wally is not just a brand, but carries with it a deep history of passion, adventure, and commitment to wildlife conservation.
The Beginning: Bags for Photo Safaris
As we have already recounted in a previous article, it all started with the supply of some waxed canvas and leather bags, requested by photo safari enthusiasts. For them, we created the Kenya Bag, an accessory designed to withstand the most extreme conditions and accompany adventurers on their explorations.

The Meeting That Changed Everything
The name Wally was born during a collaboration with Keep it Wild, a non-profit non-governmental organization dedicated to wildlife protection. Enrico Coletti, founder of Wally Leather, collaborated with the organization as a private sponsor, actively supporting their conservation projects.
One day, while visiting KIW in South Africa, more precisely in the KwaZulu-Natal region, at the Zulu Nyala Private Game Resort owned by Trevor and Bella Show, dear friends of Enrico, something unforgettable happened.
Bella, Trevor's daughter, showed Enrico a lion cub whose mother had been killed by poachers. The orphaned lion cub had been rescued and cared for by the reserve. They had named him Wally.

A Name, A Mission
That encounter deeply moved Enrico. Wally's story, the lion cub who survived thanks to the commitment of those fighting to protect wild nature, perfectly represented the values he wanted to convey through his products: authenticity, resilience, respect for nature, and commitment to its conservation.
From that moment, Enrico decided to name the new line of bags and belts Wally Leather, in honor of that small lion and all that it represents: the strength of nature, the beauty of wildlife, and the importance of protecting it for future generations.

Every Wally Leather product carries this story, a constant reminder of the beauty of the natural world and the responsibility we have to preserve it.
